2004 Angelicus Pinot Noir
This wine is a deep strawberry in colour and is medium bodied with fine but firm tannins which give this wine a good structure and substance. It is drinking well with dark cherry, earthy and mushroom characteristics on the palate and this is echoed in the aroma. This is wine shows itself at its best with food, such as lamb, roast duck and smoked trout.
As described by James Halliday (Winepros) "...an attractive mix of strawberry and cherry, subtle oak, not complex but well balanced and well made."
