2005 Angelicus Pinot Noir

Angelicus Pinot Noir is definitely a wine made in the vineyard and with 2005 vintage we had a mild soft summer and this provided for a long ripening period, which has resulted in a wine with delicate flavours and soft tannins.

The 2005 Pinot Noir is deep garnet red in colour and has aromas of cherries with hints of cedar, forest floor and mushrooms and on the palate it shows rich ripe berry fruit flavours with subtle French oak and wild spice hints.

We believe that this wine will develop more complex flavours with some bottle age.

Pinot Noir is definitely a food wine and we suggest that it can be enjoyed with foods such as baby roasted lamb, roast duck, atlantic salmon and smoked trout.

2008 Perth Royal Show
2005 Angelicus Pinot Noir was the highest pointed Pinot Noir in the older Pinot Noir class up against some very respected competition from Tasmania, New Zealand and Adelaide Hills.
