We think that this is our best Sauvignon Blanc to date, as the vines are now showing some maturity and we continue to have a greater understanding of the influences of our site in Middlesex on the wine.
2006 was a very cool vintage in Pemberton with a long ripening period. We decided to do a partial barrel ferment to add some palate complexity and used some new French Oak barriques for fermentation. This together with the cool summer and long ripening season has given us wonderful intense flavours of tropical fruits with a slight spiciness and a lively crispness on the palate and it offers tropical aromas bursting from the glass.
